Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kelly's Rescue Plumbing Licensed, Bonded, and Insured?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured. We do carry bonds in cities that require them.
Do you give free estimates?
Absolutely! For larger jobs we are happy to come take a look, while smaller jobs we can give you a price range over the phone. No matter what, we work to give you the fairest price.
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of Utah County.
What is the difference between a tankless and a regular water heater?
A tank water heater always has stored water that’s brought up to temperature and maintained there through a gas burner and a thermostat. The heater turns on and off all the time based on the temperature of the water inside and the use. Even when no one is using the water, it’s still using gas to maintain the temperature.
A tankless water heater only turns on the gas when you are using it. The water comes into it cold and leaves it hot. There is sometimes a lag in getting the hot water to the fixtures because it is a process to create the hot water. While there are pros and cons to both, a tankless will never run out of hot water and carries a longer warranty.
What is a trenchless sewer replacement and when should it be considered?
With using specialty tools, we burst the existing line and draw a centered high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe through the line, bursting it as it goes. The HDPE pipe is rugged and will not fail like the original pipe did. This protects your landscaping from permanent damage and expensive restoration costs.
When the existing sewer has failed because of root intrusion or outside forces pushing it around, but the grade is still consistent, it’s a good candidate for trenchless sewer replacement.
How much will a typical plumbing repair cost?
There are too many factors and unforeseen circumstances to give a blanket price, but if you give us a call, quite often we can give you a price range.
Do you offer warranties or guarantees on parts and labor?
What can I do to prevent common plumbing problems?
Keep a close eye on your plumbing and address things while they’re small problems.
What payment methods do you accept?
Venmo, check, and cash are preferred, but we also accept any major credit card.
